Unlike other word memory apps in the Appstore, Momo's interface only has words and phonetic symbols. With one click, information such as word examples, meanings, memory tips are displayed. Use Momo to memorize words. Before the meaning of the word is revealed, you don't have any pictures or examples to help you recall the meaning of the word. Some people may find this a drawback, but too much help can lead to situations where you think you've remembered something but actually haven't.

Helpful tips

Momo will summarize words with similar meanings or confusing words with similar word forms on the word cards to help learners identify them more easily. Each word also provides a funny memory tip. For example, use Chinese pronunciation similar to the word to express the meaning of the word.

Momo will automatically generate a systematic memory and review schedule for you based on the daily study plan you set, which follows the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve. At the same time, you can see your learning status in Momo. Incentives to encourage learning

Momo also has very successful learning incentives. The number of words you can learn in Momo is limited. At the beginning, your initial number of words that can be learned is only 500. But you can get extra amounts by checking in after completing your studies every day. The more days you complete the learning task in a row, the more words you can acquire each time. At the same time, you can also motivate yourself to stick to word memorization through group learning. In Momo, you can team up with other users to memorize words together. In a group, you can see how each person is learning, and if each of you sticks to the memorization plan in a row, the number of extra words you can get will be much greater than that of an individual.

In addition, momo has the most common word resources for all English proficiency tests in China. If you want to prepare for any exam, you don't need to add a vocabulary library, just select the vocabulary book you want to study and add it to your study plan.

But Momo still has shortcomings. For example, for learners who need to memorize a large number of words in a short period of time to prepare for the upcoming exam, the limited amount of words that can be learned is completely insufficient. They can only reach higher learning levels by recharging to obtain more words. In addition, when the learning level is low, many functions cannot be used.
